WHO We Are

In July 2019 I joined Glen Cairn United Church (GCUC ) as the minister of Word Sacrament and Pastoral Care. 

I am married to Harry Price and together we have a grown family of five children and four grandchildren. We are proud parents to our fur baby “Missy” who is a Corgi -Poodle cross.

I was born in a small town called Dumfries, in the south west of Scotland and emigrated to Montreal, Canada 30 years ago. Some say I have an accent; however I say “that everyone sounds like me where I come from and so I do  not … really ... have an accent”. 

I began my professional career as a Registered Nurse in Glasgow, Scotland. 

I studied for the Ministry at McGill University in Montreal, Ordained in 2007 and settled in Williamsburg Pastoral Charge. I then served the Manotick Pastoral charge before joining Glen Cairn United. 

I am a committed life time learner. I studied Spiritual Direction with Ontario Jubilee a and I am currently pursuing a certificate in palliative care and following a program in Celtic spirituality.  

I am passionate about worship, pastoral care and how we express and experience  our spirituality. I’m especially interested in spiritual care and care of the dying and bereaved. 

I have always been very involved in the larger church and have been a commissioner to three General Councils, was the past and final president of the Montreal and Ottawa Conference and currently serve on the Eastern Ontario Outaouais Regional Council Executive and chair the Region’s Vision and Transformation Leadership Team. I have held various other positions in the larger church. 

In my spare time, I can be found at the local gym working out and lifting weights. In my quieter moments, I enjoy reading a good book, knitting or simply enjoying the peace and quiet of Gods beautiful creation.  

I  am excited to join GCUC and am blessed to be with you. I look forward to sharing Gods love together for a long time to come.
